Nick Pollard

Nicholas has extensive experience as a strategic board advisor at a number of public and private companies, particularly in the construction industry. He also has a wide range of international experience and expertise, principally in the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Nicholas was formerly Group CEO at Cory Riverside Energy, which generates renewable electricity. He has held senior roles at Railtrack plc, Network Rail, Skanska and Balfour Beatty plc.

Chief Executive Officer

Craig Tatton

Craig joined Tilbury Douglas in 2017, as Managing Director of UK Building. In July 2022, he became Chief Operating Officer and in November 2024, he became Chief Executive Officer. He has 37 years of experience in the industry, with more than 15 of them operating at board level, and has a proven track record in a range of core sectors including health, education, justice, defence, civil government and commercial. Prior to joining Tilbury Douglas, Craig was Chief Operating Officer for Bouygues UK, and previously held senior roles at Willmott Dixon, ISG, Miller and Laing O’Rourke.

Group Commercial Director

Martyn Smith

Martyn joined Tilbury Douglas in the spring of 2023 and has over 25 years of experience in the industry. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and has operated at senior leadership and board level for the last 15 years. Prior to joining Tilbury Douglas Martyn was the Commercial Director for Ferrovial Construction across their UK&I business.

He has held a range of commercial and operational leadership roles and his experience spans all aspects of building and civil engineering.

Managing Director, Engineering

Ross Mather

Ross joined as Managing Director of Engineering in November 2018. As an experienced statutory director and thought leader, he has a strong track record of business leadership, strategy development and implementation.

With 20 years operational experience, and 10 years of work-winning expertise, Ross has worked in various management roles for Interserve Engineering Services (M&E), formally How Engineering Services.

Andy Bull

Andy joined Tilbury Douglas in 2024 as Managing Director of our Infrastructure business. He has spent his career delivering complex multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, mostly in contracting, but with significant client and consulting experience across various sectors and geographies. He is recognised for developing people and teams to achieve successful and sustainable outcomes.

HR Director

Sarah McCallion

Sarah is HR Director at Tilbury Douglas and a member of the Executive team, responsible for shaping and delivering our people strategy across the business.

Her career with us spans four decades, having joined RM Douglas Construction in 1985. She has built her experience within both the organisation and the wider HR profession, bringing extensive organisational knowledge and strategic insight to her role.

Sarah’s leadership is shaped by a clear understanding of our culture and values. Having progressed her own career within the business, she is a strong advocate for developing internal talent and creating clear pathways for colleagues to grow and succeed.

Suzannah Harris

Suzannah Harris is General Counsel at Tilbury Douglas, leading the legal function and overseeing all legal, contractual, compliance and governance activities across the business.

With more than 20 years’ experience across the energy and construction sectors, she brings extensive expertise in construction law, complex procurement, regulatory compliance, risk management and dispute resolution.

Before joining Tilbury Douglas, Suzannah held senior legal positions at npower and E.ON, advising on major infrastructure and energy projects across the public and private sectors. She is recognised for her pragmatic, commercially focused approach, delivering clear, strategic advice that supports successful project delivery across our portfolio.

Andrew Jowett

Andrew joined Tilbury Douglas in 1989 and leads our National and Strategic Accounts function with a team of sector and specialist directors, responsible for ensuring the Group is strategically well placed and has a continued pipeline of commercially attractive and risk appropriate frameworks and project opportunities.

Managing Director, Building South and South Wales

Richard Boeg

Richard Boeg is Managing Director for Building South and South Wales at Tilbury Douglas.

He brings nearly 40 years of experience across a broad range of sectors, including healthcare, education, justice, civic, defence, commercial, residential, leisure, infrastructure, aviation and industrial.

Richard joined Tilbury Douglas in April 2021, following senior roles with Laing O’Rourke, Balfour Beatty, McLaren, Mace International and International Hospitals Group.

He is recognised for strong leadership and his extensive understanding of planning, technical and engineering disciplines. He consistently drives collaborative working, building long term relationships and acting as a trusted adviser to customers and partners.

Lucy Davies

Lucy joined Tilbury Douglas in 2020 and leads responsible business strategy across corporate and project levels, aligning delivery with organisational goals. She has championed social value and sustainability initiatives and was instrumental in launching the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, embedding purpose-led practices across the business.

Managing Director, Regional Building

Simon Butler

Simon joined Tilbury Douglas in 2011 and brings over 36 years of experience in the construction industry. He began his career as a site engineer and has progressed to managing director, with the past 19 years spent in business unit director and managing director roles.

Simon has a proven track record of developing and supporting teams to deliver the best results. He has successfully delivered projects across a wide range of sectors, including health, education, defence, justice, local government, residential and commercial, for both public and private sector clients.
