This is an established framework for highway maintenance and improvement schemes in the East of England for which we have been member partners since its inception in 2012.
Th latest iteration, EHA3, covers 10 Local Authorities and includes schemes worth up to £30m such as roundabouts, cycle paths, new roads, public realm, bridges/structures, and other highway related infrastructure.
The framework provides benefits to the way local authorities deliver highway works, by reducing the time and cost of projects and providing an efficient and effective way to procure investment and delivery in highways projects.
Kevin Bentley, deputy leader of Essex County Council and cabinet member for infrastructure, said: ‘The creation of the Eastern Highways Alliance 3 Framework has been a huge task, led by Essex County Council, in collaboration with the authorities of the EHA. It is innovative thinking and partnership working like this which demonstrates how local authorities are collaborating together in adapting to the challenges we face.’
The members of the EHA are: Cambridgeshire CC, Central Bedfordshire Council, Essex CC, Hertfordshire CC, Luton Borough Council, Norfolk CC, Peterborough City Council, Southend-on-Sea BC, Suffolk CC and Thurrock Council.
