Re-appointed to the NHS Building for Wales 2 Framework in 2024, Tilbury Douglas has collaborated with NHS Wales as an incumbent on all previous iterations – leading to the successful delivery of high-quality health projects such as Prince Charles Hospital.

Benefits of using this framework

Replacing the Designed for Life frameworks in 2017, the NHS Building for Wales Frameworks are the NHS Wales’ construction procurement and delivery frameworks for major capital projects with construction costs over £4m.

The frameworks are based on the fundamental principles of collaborative working, integrated supply chains and continual improvement.

They deliver best value for money and development of best practice, sustainability and other core objectives on behalf of the Welsh government.

The Framework helps drive forward-thinking improvements in the construction delivery process through the design, development, procurement and management of construction procurement frameworks for NHS Wales, working closely with Trusts to deliver high-quality health care facilities.

Key focus of this framework: Collaboration & continuous improvement

Framework objectives include implementing construction best practice through long-term strategic partnerships with integrated supply chains; supporting NHS Wales in becoming an exemplar client for all major construction projects and; creating an environment of continuous improvement while building skills to deliver better value for money.
