Benefits of using this framework
The aim of this framework is to provide the NHS and wider public sector clients with a compliant route to market for the provision of quality and value for money construction works. The framework provides pricing structures such as overheads and profits, design fees and rate cards for members of staff and is suitable for design and build, build only and refurbishment projects.
Designed to provide flexibility, including contact terms, regionalised suppliers, clear pricing and collaborative framework terms using the Framework Alliance Contract (FAC-1).
This framework for construction works covers:
- all types of building and construction works
- design works
- alteration and refurbishment, which includes electrics and plumbing
- works packages including demolition and remediation
- additional services that include planning application and full architectural design
The framework is established under eight core objectives which contractors embrace and commit to, including:
- Social value
- Modern methods of construction (MMC)
- Value for money
- Collaboration
- Participating authority satisfaction
- Quality at all stages
- Improved procurement processes
- Integrated supply chain
Key focus of this framework: Straight-forward route to market
SBS offers a compliant route to market for the provision of design and build projects to deliver high-quality facilities and value for money from a mixture of Tier 1 and regional contractors.
Enabling works packages which includes demolition, remediation, asbestos and contaminant handling, and civil engineering works that are necessary to the building project itself are services that can be procured under the framework, along with alterations, refurbishments, building maintenance and upgrading/repairing existing services.
Contractors are able to provide additional services that include but are not limited to a feasibility study, planning application, full architectural design, enabling works, site works, landscaping, and soft landings as part of a full turnkey package.
