The CCS plays a vital role in ensuring that construction activities benefit not only the industry but also the communities and environments where we work.
2024 National Site Awards
We were proud that five of our sites were recognised at the Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards 2024. Our award-winning sites were Aintree University Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, Project Springboard, Stepping Hill Hospital and Brighton Magistrates Court. These achievements highlight the outstanding efforts of our teams to enhance the impact of our construction activities.

Outstanding projects
These projects exemplify our commitment to achieving the highest standards in construction through innovation and best practice.
- Our Prince Charles Hospital Project in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, maintained its score of 45/45 for the fifth consecutive visit.
- The Millbrook Refurbishment Project in the Midlands scored highly for its achievements which include upgrading facilities for the local Scout & Guide Group, hosting activities for World Suicide Prevention Day, and enhancing site biodiversity.
- The implementation of the Injectaclad Fire Barrier Solution on a healthcare site. This innovative approach underscores the team’s dedication to delivering cutting-edge solutions and best practices.
- Sugar Hill Primary School for a bespoke excavation solution that enhanced productivity while prioritising safety.
- Oldham Old Library launched a life-saving campaign with blood cancer charity DKMS, inspiring the team and supply chain to join the stem cell register.
- Royal Preston Hospital was recognised for the HarnessOn safety initiative.
CCS Awards Gala
To end the 2024, Tilbury Douglas achieved three awards of recognition at the Considerate Constructor Scheme Awards Gala.
- Lucy Davies, ESG Director, was recognised for her ongoing contributions to CCS and being placed in its Hall of Fame.
- Charley Tordoff and Adam Bashford were named Rising Stars in the prestigious ‘30 Under 30’ category. This accolade celebrates their exceptional contributions to the construction industry, highlighting their dedication, innovation, and commitment within their roles.
