Tilbury Douglas becomes a member of BuildForce
Tilbury Douglas, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out business, has become a member of BuildForce, the construction industry’s largest and most successful nationwide career programme supporting thousands of our ex-military community into long-term trade and professional careers within the construction industry and wider built environment.
BuildForce is a community interest company and is completely free of charge to our whole ex-military community. It offers nationwide services focused on pre-employment, employment, education, mental health and after-care. These services support our Service Leavers, Veterans, Reservists and military families, as they transition from their military career to a construction civilian career.
Sarah McCallion, HR Director at Tilbury Douglas, commented: “We are proud to become a member of BuildForce, as it shows our ongoing commitment to support those who have served and their families.
As the construction industry continues to face skills shortages, it is encouraging to collaborate with organisations such as this to encourage those with transferable skills and experience to join the sector”.
Caroline Logan, BuildForce Programme Director, added: “We are delighted to welcome Tilbury Douglas into the BuildForce fold and are looking forward to working together to strategically imbed pathways, creating UK-wide opportunities in a breadth of skillsets for our incredible military talent pool.”
