Tilbury Douglas becomes a member of The 5% Club for another year
Tilbury Douglas, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out business, has once again become a member of The 5% Club.
The 5% Club is focused on creating momentum behind the recruitment of apprentices and graduates into the workforce, as well as utilising workplace learning schemes to maximise the potential within existing employees. This means that 5% Club members strive to achieve at least 5% of their workforce on apprenticeships, as sponsored students and/or graduates on formalised training schemes within five years of joining.
Sarah McCallion, HR Director at Tilbury Douglas, commented: “Achieving Gold status is a testament to our dedication to nurturing the growth and development of our workforce. It underscores our belief that investment in people is the cornerstone of success. Through programs that offer hands-on learning, we are creating pathways for professional growth, equipping our staff with the skills and confidence they need to thrive.”
Mark Cameron OBE, Chief Executive at The 5% Club, said: “We are incredibly proud of the outstanding employers, like Tilbury Douglas, who have gone above and beyond to invest in the future of their workforce through a diverse range of ‘earn and learn’ initiatives. Their dedication, especially during these challenging times, deserves to be celebrated. By achieving Gold membership, Tilbury Douglas has shown an exceptional commitment to shaping the skills of tomorrow, contributing not only to its business but to the wider economy.”
Maggie Stefaniak, Early Careers Manager at Tilbury Douglas, added: “Earning Gold status for another year highlights our commitment to supporting early careers and empowering the next generation of industry leaders. This achievement reflects our efforts to create meaningful pathways where apprentices, graduates and developing professionals can build confidence, learn essential skills and make an impact from day one. We’re proud to be setting a high standard in workforce development and we look forward to continuing our journey of nurturing talent that will shape the future of our industry.”
