Tilbury Douglas hosts business breakfast at Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, showcasing digital solutions and supporting DKMS stem cell drive
Tilbury Douglas hosted an exclusive business breakfast on 21 August 2024, bringing together key project partners to celebrate exceptional success in delivering complex, high-profile projects.
The event took place at the prestigious Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo stadium, a state-of-the-art 9,000-seat venue that recently opened on 2 August and will host the iconic Tattoo performances through to 24 August.
The breakfast was more than just a celebration; it was a showcase of Tilbury Douglas’ innovation and commitment to excellence. Industry guests were given an exclusive preview of the company’s latest digital breakthrough—the ‘Tilbury Douglas Connect Configurator.’ Developed in collaboration with Unity (NYSE: U), the global leader in real-time 3D (RT3D) content, this cutting-edge tool is set to redefine the future of digital innovation in the construction sector.
“The Connect Configurator represents a significant leap forward in how we approach complex construction projects,” said Mark Buckle, Technical Director at Tilbury Douglas. “This tool enhances our ability to deliver tailored, efficient solutions for our clients, setting a new standard for the industry.”
Demonstrating its dedication to social responsibility, Tilbury Douglas also partnered with DKMS, a global stem cell donor registry, to host a mass swab drive during the event. Attendees were encouraged to register as stem cell donors, underscoring the company’s commitment to making a positive impact beyond the construction site. A simple swab could lead to a life-saving match for someone in need.
This year marks a significant milestone for Tilbury Douglas as the company celebrates 10 consecutive years of delivering the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo project on schedule and to the highest standards. The partnership reinforces Tilbury Douglas’ reputation as a trusted leader in the industry.
“This event at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo stadium is a testament to our relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation in the construction industry. It was great to host the event at this unique venue while it is in use, and we’re proud to be here, continuing to partner with the Tattoo in the delivery of the stadium,” said Barry O’Hagan, Regional Director – Scotland at Tilbury Douglas.
