Tilbury Douglas hosts supply chain engagement events
Tilbury Douglas, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out business, has completed a series of regional supply chain engagement events.
Beginning in the South East and continuing through the West Midlands, Yorkshire and the North West, the programme concluded in Glasgow. Across the series, more than 600 project partners came together to focus on collaboration, knowledge sharing and community focused engagement.
We also hosted a focused event with our supply chain partners working alongside us on Thames Water projects, fostering deeper collaboration.
Attendees were updated on Tilbury Douglas’ upcoming project pipeline, helping to reinforce confidence in future partnership opportunities. Workshops covered best practice in health, safety and ethical supply chain management, supporting consistent, quality delivery across all projects and aligning with expectations in areas including sustainability and modern slavery.
A standout session was led by former professional rugby league player, Johnny Lawless, who introduced his Minds Matter Mental Fitness Programme. The session explained the principles of mental fitness and offered attendees practical tools to support wellbeing within their teams and wider communities.
The agenda also included presentations from the Tilbury Douglas team on procurement strategy, collaborative working and the benefits of early engagement.
Jamie Swanston, Procurement and Supply Chain Director at Tilbury Douglas, commented: “We welcomed the strong engagement from our supply chain partners. These events enabled us to share our forward pipeline, reaffirm our commitment to high standards in health and safety, and highlight the community impact we can achieve together. The discussions throughout each session will support continued collaboration as we move into the year ahead.”
Johnny Lawless, Founder of Minds Matter, added: “It was encouraging to see organisations engaging openly around wellbeing and performance. Mental fitness is essential across every sector, and the interest shown by Tilbury Douglas and its supply chain partners reflects a clear commitment to supporting people. The response to the programme was excellent, and I look forward to continuing this work together.”
The strong dialogue throughout the events has given suppliers greater confidence in planning for the months ahead. Tilbury Douglas will continue its engagement programme with further events scheduled for 2026.
