Tilbury Douglas marks anniversary of partnership with CRADLE
Tilbury Douglas is celebrating the first anniversary of its partnership with CRADLE, a charity providing a range of resources to the NHS supporting patients and families when a baby dies during pregnancy or following a termination of pregnancy.
As a construction industry first, the national partnership has achieved so much in its first year, including providing support to more than 3,000 patients and launching the first CRADLE pregnancy loss service in Wales at Tilbury Douglas’ Prince Charles Hospital project.
CRADLE focuses on raising funds and delivering a fast-track counselling service, offering peer support, and donating CRADLE Comfort Bags to the NHS, which are filled with essential toiletries and are available to those receiving care in hospital during or following pregnancy loss.
Lucy Davies, Head of Social Value at Tilbury Douglas, commented: “As we work extensively in the healthcare sector, and are currently onsite at several NHS trusts at which CRADLE also has a presence, the partnership has been a success. Colleagues have been able to access direct support, as well as provide services for the local communities in which they operate. As the company’s nominated charity, employees have also been raising funds for the worthwhile cause which supports local communities directly.
“We look forward to seeing what more the partnership can achieve over the course of the next year!”
Louise Zeniou, CEO of CRADLE, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the Tilbury Douglas colleagues for their support, fundraising and sponsorship of CRADLE services during the first year of our partnership, we look forward to making a bigger impact in year two of our partnership.”
CRADLE works nationally with the NHS, providing free resources and services to clinical staff, and support to anyone who has experienced the death of a baby during pregnancy, or following the termination of pregnancy. If you need support, contact info@cradlecharity.org.
