Tilbury Douglas Northern Supply Chain Roadshows engage more than 1,000 partners & register Stem Cell donors
Tilbury Douglas, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering, and fit-out business, has successfully concluded its Northern Supply Chain Roadshows, delivering impactful events across four key locations in the north of the UK.
Held in partnership with ConstructionLine, the Roadshows visited Haydock, Middlesbrough, Pontefract, and Glasgow, bringing together more than 1,000 supply chain partners. Attendees gained insights into Tilbury Douglas’ 2025 pipeline, explored opportunities to join its local supply chain, and benefited from expert procurement advice from Jamie Swanston, Procurement and Supply Chain Director at Tilbury Douglas, and Stacey Burton, Procurement and Supply Chain Manager at Tilbury Douglas.
Reflecting the company’s dedication to fostering meaningful partnerships, the Roadshows also celebrated outstanding contributions through Supply Chain Awards, recognising the exceptional role partners play in Tilbury Douglas’ success.
Adding a community-focused dimension, Tilbury Douglas partnered with charity DKMS at the events, encouraging attendees to register as blood stem cell donors. Through this initiative, individuals joined the stem cell donor register, potentially giving a second chance at life to patients in need. Albacare also supported the event by providing defibrillation and CPR training, empowering attendees to “help save a life.”
Phil Shaw, Managing Director – Building North at Tilbury Douglas, said: “At Tilbury Douglas, we understand the vital role our supply chain partners play in helping us to deliver high-quality projects across the UK. The Northern Supply Chain Roadshows provided an excellent opportunity to engage with both new and established partners, share our vision for 2025, and ensure we’re working with the best local talent to drive success. Partnering with DKMS and Albacare also added a meaningful layer to our events, showcasing the positive impact we can make together.”
Jamie Swanston, Procurement and Supply Chain Director at Tilbury Douglas, added: “It was great to meet so many of our partners to be able to show them our Group Supply Chain Strategy, which at its core recognises our strong regional supply chain. We were able to share our key priorities for the years ahead and ensure we are all on the same page when it comes to addressing key issues, such as modern day slavery and carbon reduction.”
The Northern Supply Chain Roadshows underline Tilbury Douglas’ commitment to excellence in construction, collaboration, and community impact, setting the stage for continued growth and success in 2025.
