Tilbury Douglas retains Investors in Diversity Silver Status for a further two years

Tilbury Douglas, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out business, has successfully retained its Investors in Diversity Silver status, awarded by the National Centre for Diversity, for a further two‑year period.

This recognition reflects Tilbury Douglas’ continued dedication to fostering a workplace rich in fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion, and engagement (FREDIE) – the National Centre for Diversity’s principles.

Building upon the momentum of attaining the full Investors in Diversity Standard in December 2023, the Silver status underscores the business’ ongoing commitment to embedding inclusive culture across the organisation.

Craig Tatton, Chief Executive Officer at Tilbury Douglas, commented: “Retaining Silver status demonstrates that our inclusive culture is not a one‑off achievement, but a lived, ongoing commitment. Our people feel respected and valued, and we will continue embedding FREDIE values across everything we do.”

Better Together, the name of Tilbury Douglas’s diversity and inclusion initiative, has paved the way for this recognition. Among strides made under Better Together are enhancements to its parental leave policies, Menopause Friendly Accreditation via Henpicked, Disability Confident Committed Employer status, and Gold membership through The 5% Club’s Employer Audit Scheme.

Solat Chaudhry, Chief Executive of the National Centre for Diversity, added: “We are delighted that Tilbury Douglas has retained its Investors in Diversity Silver award, and I would like to extend our congratulations to their leaders, staff service users and colleagues on their success to date.”
