Tilbury Douglas successfully delivers Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo stands

Tilbury Douglas successfully delivered the stands at this year’s Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

Over the summer, 220,000 customers came through the doors to watch the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo show, as well as other concerts.

This was our 9th year of constructing the stands, which consist of 400 tonnes of aluminium and 400 tonnes of steel. The build includes 6,800 sections, 1,700 crane lifts and 35 miles of cable.

Throughout the build and dismantling of the stands, Edinburgh Castle remained open, while welcoming 10 – 12,000 tourists on the esplanade each day.
