Tilbury Douglas to lead construction of Russell Scott Primary School
Tilbury Douglas, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out business, has been appointed on behalf of the Department for Education (DfE) to lead the construction of Russell Scott Primary School in Denton, Tameside.
The scheme involves the construction of a new two-storey school building adjacent to the existing building, which will be demolished, along with associated external works.
Designed by architects Ellis Williams, the school will have space for more than 470 pupils and will include a dedicated Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) block on the ground floor.
Kabir Salihi, Regional Director – North West at Tilbury Douglas, commented: “The Russell Scott Primary School project builds on our growing presence in Tameside, where we have recently successfully delivered the St Anne’s Bridge replacement scheme. Together, these projects reflect our continued commitment to investing in the local area, not only through high quality infrastructure and education environments, but by creating meaningful social value. We’re working closely with local partners to support employment, skills development and community initiatives that make a lasting difference for the people of Tameside.”
