Tilbury Douglas becomes a member of The 5% Club
Tilbury Douglas, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out business, has successfully become a member of The 5% Club.
The 5% Club is focused on creating momentum behind the recruitment of apprentices and graduates into the workforce, as well as utilising workplace learning schemes to maximise the potential within existing employees. This means that 5% Club members strive to achieve at least 5% of their workforce on apprenticeships, as sponsored students and/or graduates on formalised training schemes within five years of joining.
Craig Tatton, Chief Operating Officer at Tilbury Douglas, said: “We are proud to be welcomed to The 5% Club. This membership further emphasises our commitment to investing in and developing talent. These apprentices and graduates are the future leaders of our business, and the industry, and are vital to delivering our plans and the infrastructure that the country needs.”
Gill Cronin, Director of Operations of The 5% Club, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Tilbury Douglas into membership. The 5% Club provides a fantastic network of HR and L&D professionals, sharing and learning from each other. All our members share an ethos of creating a skilled workforce through ‘earn and learn’ development programmes, helping people develop meaningful career paths. It’s fantastic to see the wide range of ‘earn and learn’ opportunities Tilbury Douglas has on offer for its employees.”
Members of The 5% Club consist of more than 900 public and private companies in the UK who want to make a difference and support the UK’s ability to compete in increasingly tough global markets.
