Tilbury Douglas completes construction of new Urgent & Emergency Care Centre for Walsall Healthcare
Tilbury Douglas has successfully completed the construction of the new Urgent & Emergency Care Centre for Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust.
Procured through the ProCure22 Framework, the newly built £40m two storey facility provides the Trust with 4,864m2 of additional clinical space. Specialised facilities include an Urgent Treatment Centre, a Paediatric Assessment Unit, an Acute Medical Unit and a Medical Ambulatory Unit.
Opening to the public in early March, the new facility will help meet local demand, caring for up to 90,000 urgent admissions per year.

During the project, Tilbury Douglas was proud to support 832 weeks of apprentice training, 53 weeks of work placements, and over £22m spent with local supply chains within 30 miles of Walsall.
