Tilbury Douglas set to deliver four new Midlands schools
Tilbury Douglas has been selected to deliver four new school projects on behalf of the Department for Education (DfE) in the Midlands in 2022.
The four new schools are the Stoke Special Educational Needs Disability (SEND) School in Stoke-on-Trent, Wednesfield Primary School in Wolverhampton, Heights SEND School in Smith’s Wood and Elm Tree Primary School in Wednesbury.
The Stoke SEND School and Wednesfield Primary School will both be delivered to the Passivhaus standard, aligning with the DfE’s aspirations for low carbon energy efficient schools.
Elm Tree Primary School will be built on land adjacent to High Point Academy in Wednesbury – a new SEND school which was recently completed by Tilbury Douglas in summer 2021.
Simon Butler, Regional Managing Director of Building – Midlands at Tilbury Douglas, said: “Our track record of successfully delivering high quality educational facilities means we are best placed to lead on the construction of these four new schools, which will make a positive impact on the educational offering in the Midlands.”
