Tilbury Douglas to lead the roof replacement of the Nottingham Crown Court
Tilbury Douglas, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out business, has been appointed to lead the replacement of a plant area of the roof including relocating and replacing M&E services at the Nottingham Crown Court.
The scheme involves the replacement of the roof directly below the current Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) plant and removal of large pieces of plant. The works will be carried out whilst the courts remain live, maintaining protection to the building from the weather and live M&E services.
Justice minister, Mike Freer, said: “We’re replacing the roof at Nottingham Crown Court to ensure the long-term resilience of the site and improve the experience of everyone using the court.
“This work is part of the government’s £220 million investment for essential modernisation and repair work of our court buildings across the country over two years to minimise the risk of future disruption to cases being heard up and down the country.”
