Tilbury Douglas has ‘topped out’ on a £10 million project to build and refurbish Catheter Laboratories at Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital (LHCH).
LHCH provides specialist services in cardiothoracic surgery, cardiology, respiratory medicine and diagnostic imaging serving a catchment area of 2.8 million people, spanning Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
Tilbury Douglas are responsible for the construction of a new building and the refurbishment of laboratories and consultation rooms.
The work is being delivered in three stages in a live environment and is expected to complete by May 2023.
The project follows Tilbury Douglas’s recent success in handing over the new Neonatal Unit to Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust following a major refurbishment and extension of the existing facility to create the largest unit of its kind in the UK.
Phil Shaw, Divisional Director, for Tilbury Douglas, said:
“Tilbury Douglas are delighted to be working in partnership with Liverpool Heart and Chest Foundation Trust, this project is a testament to our capabilities and expertise in delivering first class healthcare facilities across the UK.”
